Some people are born with a talent, others with a calling. For Dr. Maupin, it’s always been a heart to serve. Whether mentoring students, surprising loved ones with extraordinary acts of kindness, or simply making someone’s day a little brighter, she’s always had one goal—help others feel valued, loved, and special.

When the world slowed down during COVID, Dr. Maupin and her family began dreaming about something big: a pediatric dental practice that would be more than a place for checkups. They envisioned a space where children could truly smile—inside and out—and where families felt like part of something greater. After months of searching, they found the perfect building, purchased it from the county, and rolled up their sleeves for a complete renovation. The planning sessions often happened in their own basement, surrounded by whiteboards, notepads, and lots of laughter.

In April 2023, Successful Smiles Pediatric Dentistry opened its doors, finishing the first month with 41 young “Champions.” Since then, the family has grown to over 2,000 patients, each one an important part of the story. Along the way, there have been moments of joy, challenge, faith, and friendship—each chapter filled with deep gratitude for the relationships built and the community partnerships formed.

Today, Successful Smiles is more than a dental practice. It’s a hub of encouragement, education, and excellence, dedicated to raising the next generation of leaders—one confident, healthy smile at a time. And this is only the beginning. Year three is here, the journey continues, and the best is yet to come!
